about

The FINAL Moonshine Matinee album, recorded throughout 2011 at The Bomb Shelter in East Nashville and at The Smotherman Complex near the edge of Earth. Shortly after completion, the band would reluctantly split up due to risky speculation in the complex financial derivatives and mortgage-backed securities markets. Although a swift government bailout was performed, the damage had been done. Moonshine was dead. Here, in this 19 song collection of new tracks intended for major label release as well as old demos and B-sides, the legend of the world's greatest band lives on. Friends of Moonshine Matinee lend their musical talents throughout the album - their pictures are captured in time in stunning black-and-white across the inside liner notes. Mr. Meowgi, we miss you. But you were kind of an asshole.
